DIRECTOR, CHOREOGRAPHER, PERFORMER | 2010-12 | with NEW ARTICULATIONS DANCE THEATRE
A two-year performance project exploring water in the desert through dance and public engagement, which included:
- Walk the Watershed tours led by a naturalist to show participants how, where, and why water flows in our urban environment.
- The creation of a lecture-dance in collaboration with Watershed Management group to illustrate concepts of “green infrastructure.”
- Residencies with schools and community centers.
- Live dance performance in the Santa Cruz Riverbed, with musical accompaniment by Odaiko Sonora
FLOW received two rounds of funding from the P.L.A.C.E. Initiative of the Tucson Pima Arts Council and Kresge Foundation.
